Grease-free Roasting / Low-fat Roasting

Roasting in cooking utensils or in the oven is a method of preparing food. Roasting uses fat or oil that transfers the heat to the roasted goods and is also eaten.

Fats are indispensable for the human body, but may increase the risk of sickness in the human body if consumed excessively. Examples are cardiovascular diseases like hypertension, heart attack and stroke, as well as diabetes.

Using alternative heat carriers like roasting papers (BRANOpan) and water may contribute to gently preparing food without fat and oil to thus prevent severe disease.
